Basic Eligibility Rules:
2012 Time Line

Application Period Opens at November 2011 Meeting.

Application Period Closes at the March 2012 Meeting.

Selection Committee Reviews Applications from March 2012 until award
determination is completed.

Notification of Award no later than May 1, 2012.

Public announcement of award at Annual Meeting May 2012.
2012 Candidate Process
-
Certify that you have been a member of the Maryland Chapter
for at least one year prior to your application.
-
Certify that you are an Associate Member ACFE in good standing with
the National Association.
-
Certify that you are willing to complete the program within a year
of the date of the award.

Complete
Scholarship Application
-
Attach a current resume or curriculum vitae.
-
Attach two letters of reference from CFE's who are Chapter Members
in good standing.
-
Attach a short essay (one page or less) on why you should be
considered for the Scholarship.

scholarship previously, you must complete a new application package.

Stevenson University Forensic Studies Scholarship
The
Maryland Chapter is providing the Stevenson University School of Graduate
and Professional Studies with a scholarship worth $2,500. The partnership
between the Forensic Studies program and the chapter has continued to expand
over the past five years and as an appreciation of GPS efforts within the
field, the chapter is funding a scholarship for one qualified student
enrolled in the Forensic Studies program. The scholarship guidelines are as
follows:
Eligibility
-
Currently enrolled (in good standing) in the
Forensic Studies Program
-
Completion of 24 credits
-
A minimum GPA of a 3.5
-
Resident of Maryland
-
Current MDACFE membership (either professional
or student)
-
Applicants must tell in 250 words or less why they are pursuing a
degree in Forensic Studies and what they hope to
accomplish with the degree.

Stevenson’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies, based at its
Owings Mills campus, offers accelerated bachelor’s and master’s degree
programs online and in the classroom, allowing working professionals to
complete a degree in as few as 18 months, part-time. The School offers
accelerated bachelor’s programs including Business Administration,
Business and Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice (online),
Interdisciplinary Studies, Nursing RN to BS (onsite or online), and
Paralegal Studies.
Accelerated master’s degree programs include Business and Technology
Management (onsite and online), Forensic Science (onsite and online),
Forensic Studies (onsite and online with accounting, information
technology, legal, investigation, interdisciplinary, and criminalistics
tracks), and Nursing with a focus on either leadership/management or
nursing education.
Stevenson University is currently offering a limited-time promotion that
allows new students to take their third course towards a master’s degree
free of charge. The
Third
Course Free Incentive will continue through the Spring 2012
semester.
